Candidates applying for LLB honours programmes must obtain a minimum of 42 points out of a possible 120 points (35 per cent of the total). There are no minimum qualifying grades for students from the SC/ST categories. Twenty-one colleges would accept these law entrance exam marks for the three-year LLB programme.

Yes, Candidates can avail scholarship studying at Utkal University. Students can apply for scholarships at the state scholarship portal. The university gives various scholarships to students, as well as financial aid to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Currently i am studying LLB Hons and I got the seat by qualifying the entrance exam. And the quality of teaching is good and flexible. The curriculum is been updated and teachers also do talk about recent developments in the field of law .

Academics are perhaps the best part? You get some of the best teachers and the course in here can prepare you easily for Judicial Examinations and some for some papers of Civil Services Examinations if you're that much concentrated and studious.

Do you have distance education for LLB?

It's a big no. Bar Council of India has already made it clear that the licence will not be issued for those persons who have done LL-B through distance education system and as such you cant become a lawyer so the degree is useless. But, Yes you can do various diploma and few degree courses through the distance mode offered in various specializations like MBL, Human Rights, IPR etc by many colleges.
