That is why Veerappa Nisty Engineering College, Shorapur (VNEC) is one of the recognised educational facilities founded in 2010. Established in Hasanapur Camp, Shorapur, district Karnataka this is affiliated AICTE college situated in a 10 acre land. VNEC has a total of 8 courses in three degrees of engineering and management specialising in systems engineering, information technology, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and architectural. To provide qualitative education, the college has 453 students in its total strength and 71 faculty members which make a good student-faculty ratio. The institute has a fairly balanced gender distribution with 69% of the student’s male and 31% female, and the institute provides both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The Veerappa Nisty Engineering College is also interested in giving its students superior learning environments through the development of quality learning facilities. The college has newly constructed hostels for boys and girls with facilities like solar systems electrical geysers, and others’ recreation facilities. It occupies an area of 500 square meters, has more than 5000 books and accesses many national and international journals. The students are able to enjoy well equipped laboratories, it infrastructure and different other sports amenities. The campus also avails a canteen, auditorium, health centre and transport facilities to provide students with a best environment for learning.

This institute provides all the necessary course options among which there are eight full time programmes and two postgraduate programmes. The total approved intake for all courses is 387 seat. Offered as undergraduate programmes are BE programmes in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering Computer Science and Engineering. VNEC at post graduate level offers M.Tech in Structural Engineering and Digital Communication MBA in Information Management. These diversified programmes meet the needs in terms of interests and career goals of the would-be engineers and managers.

Admission at VNEC follows the school’s policy on admissions where all students are admitted regardless of their ability to pay tuition fees. Most undergraduate engineering programme entrants are offered based on scores obtained in relevant entrance examinations. The MBA programme permits scores from different management aptitude tests including CAT, MAT, Karnataka PGCET and KMAT. Infrastructure of this college is excellent infrastructure, well equipped labs and good maintained whole campus neatly in proper way then classrooms are 10 to 12 are there, wifi is only libraries available not all the entire campus.
