    Diploma in Information Technology is a three-year full-time course offered by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).


    Eligibility Criteria

    1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

    2. Educational Qualification:

      • Candidates must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination with at least 35% aggregate marks.
      • Candidates who have passed the High School Certificate (HSC) examination or its equivalent with Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects are also eligible for admission.
    3. Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for admission to first-year Diploma in Engineering courses.


    Eligibility Criteria for Direct Second Year Diploma Engineering in Maharashtra

    The eligibility criteria for direct second-year admission to Diploma in Engineering in Maharashtra were as follows:

    1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

    2. Educational Qualification:

      • Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Science/Technical/Vocational with subjects relevant to the diploma course they are applying for, from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination.
      • Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
    3. For Reserved Category Candidates:

      • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Vimukta Jati (VJ)/De-notified Tribes (DT)/ Nomadic Tribes (NT), the minimum aggregate marks required is 45% instead of 50%.
      • For candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum aggregate marks required is 45%.
    4. Non-Zero Score in CET: Candidates should have a non-zero score in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) or any other equivalent entrance test recognized by the MSBTE.
