66 MonthsBachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS) is a graduate degree awarded after the study of five and a half years duration, including 1-year internship, the course offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
The candidates should have passed the two-year P.U.C examination conducted by the P.U Education Board, Karnataka State, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects; or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
The Candidates should secure 50% of the total marks in Science subjects taken altogether at the qualifying examination. However, the OBC category and SC/ST students of Karnataka are required to secure 40% of the total marks.
The Candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission.
Foreign students desiring admission should produce (a) a No Objection Certificate from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. (b) An eligibility certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. (c) Student Visa. (d) Residential Certificate.
The Selection is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), conducted once a year by the Indian Government, seeking admission into the course.
The Admission Procedure is based on the NEET UG entrance exam.
