Lateral entry can be taken only if you want to join in the second year. Since, you are already in the third year of your engineering career, lateral entry would not be granted to you.

Candidate has to upload scanned copies of photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression in the prescribed format. The image size should be in between 20-100 KB so before you apply, you will have to keep these documents ready.

And the AMU 2018 admission to various undergraduate programmes will be offered on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam conducted by the university. Also, the registration window is open till 8th-March and B.A (H) exam will be held on 15th-April 2018.

Hi shubham, AMU entrance test syllabus for students applying BA (hons.) in any specific field are as follows : Total 100 marks paper

English - 25 marks

Indo-islamic culture and aligarh movt. - 25 marks

General awareness and current affair - 40 marks

Reasoning and Intelligence - 10 marks

Hi Shubham, the estimate of cut off depends on the number of candidates appeared for the entrance exam, the total number of candidates qualified the exam, number of seats available etc. Cut off changes every year, last cut off was 65 for General and 60 for SC/ST. In 2018 cut off expected 75-80 for general and 70-75 for SC/ST.

For Open or general - 50th percentile

SC/ST/OBC - 40TH PERCENTILE

AMU BA LLB is a university level entrance (Aligarh-100 seats, Malappuram-60 seats and Murshidabad-60 seats) for five-year integrated law programme whereas CLAT is a national level entrance for 19 NLUs conducted for 2400 for undergraduate programmes and 624 for postgraduate programmes (approx.) seats.

You will have to fulfil the below criteria if you wish to pursue B.Sc from AMU through its entrance -

A candidate to have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination with an aggregate of 55 % in English, Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics. Also, Mathematics is compulsory for those who desire a bachelor degree in any among Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Applications.

And the application window is not yet open but tentatively forms should be there in this month (Feb) only.
