NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. This includes AFMC, AIIMS, etc. So to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th. Coming to your case, you have secured 54% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Now if you have passed in your Theory, even if you scored lesser in Theory than in Practicals, it is still ok. You are eligible for NEET. And take admission to  Medical Colleges across India including AIMS, AFMC, etc. But AFMC has  TOELR, PAT and Final round of Interview. With 54% in Physics,Chemistry and Biology, you are eligible for appearing for NEET which is the entrance examination. But for a seat, you have to score more than 650 for AIIMS and 625 for AFMC.

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. This applies to AIIMS and JIPMER as well. From 2020, NEET will be the entrance examination for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER as well. All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER  are filled by DGHS. This is the first time that AIIMS is conducting its admissions through NEET score. And admission to AIIMS for Delhi and all its branches will be conducted through All India Counselling. Now all this while, AIIMS conducted its own exam and the total marks was for 200 while NEET is for 720. While AIIMS released its results in the form of percentiles, NEET releases its results in the form of marks. And unlike NEET which has only Physics, Chemistry and Biology, AIIMS had GK and English sections. And usually AIIMS has cut offs above 98.75 for General Category, 97 for OBC and 94 for SC/ST . Now if we roughly translate that  out of 720, it is approximately 675-700 for General Category, 625 for OBC and 575-600 for SC/ST. Now there are approximately 1500 MBBS seats available for AIIMS. And you haven't mentioned your Category. So if you belong to General Category, you will need 650 and more. And for reserved Categories, you will need 600 and more again depending on the branch of AIIMS. But we have to tell you that Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.

Hello

it is the first time ever when AIIMS are conducting admission through neet examination so predicting cut off marks is quite difficult for Aiims

Also,
cut off marks will depend upon various factors like kind of marks obtained by students in the examination , toughness level of the neet examination etc and AIIMS will be providing admission through all India quota for which cutoff marks goes high

keeping these things in mind you should target at least  680 marks for AIIMS Delhi and at least 650 marks for other AIIMS  in your neet examination if you belong to general category

Thank you

Hello Aspirant,

The exact marks or percentile in NEET 2020 to get a seat in AIIMS can't be predicted as it depends on various factors like number of candidates appearing for exam, availability of seats and so on.

Here I am mentioning the last year cutoff, so that you can get an idea of marks you are required to score:-

  • General (Gen) - 98.1246748
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy Layer) - 95.2939507
  • Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) - 90.2036135
  • UR Orthopedically Physically Handicapped (OPH) - 95.2939507
  • OBC OPH - 90.2036135
  • SC/ST OPH - 82.2825521

hi,

see 705 is really excellent score for neet ug exam, till 2019 aiims and jipmer has separate entrance test for neet, so thats why we donot have neet cutoff score for aiims, however cutoff score depends on various factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix , students category etc. so you should work really hard and keep practicing different years questions paper, since you all have got the extra timing , give your best. you score is decent and if you can keep that same score you may get chances in government medical colleges of delhi.

Hello

Although AIIMS MBBS and Jipmer mbbs has been merged with Neet examination but you don't need to worry about its difficulty level, it is not going to be increased because of the merging.

The difficulty of the Neet examination is going to be more or less same as previous years.

Even your Neet examination pattern is still the same, in your Neet 2020 examination , you will have a total of 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology so you don't need to worry about its difficulty level ,just focus on your preparation.

You can prepare well using our neet knockout for which link is provided below
