Hello Deepak,
For joining in AIIMS Mumbai or any of the 15 AIIMS colleges of India , you have to apply for the NEET test. It is being conducted by NTA starting from this year, where students have to go through 3 papers ; physics, chemistry and biology. Apart from AIIMS you can also get to study in MBBS colleges and in JIPMER through the same test.
The registration process is to begin sooner; most probably in the first week of December and continue up to the end of December. The exam will be conducted on 3rd May 2020. You have to get a certainly good percentile here, to be eligible to study in AIIMS, which is one of some of the most prestigious degrees in India. A good rank might get you into your desirable MBBS seat.
Greetings and all the best!
Hello Hitesh,
According to the bulletin provided by NEET 2020, a candidate must score a minimum of 50% in 12th standard to be eligible for the NEET exam. But that's the case for general category students. For SC, ST and OBC students there is a relaxation of 10%. They need to score, more than 40% in their 12th board to be eligible here.
Now speaking of AIIMS home state reservation process; as per now there's no information regarding any home state reservation for AIIMS. Considering last year there was no home state reservation for AIIMS colleges. Since this year AIIMS has merged with NEET ; yet it's unlikely to happen as there are only 15 AIIMS colleges in India. So, there is no AIIMS college in almost half of the states. But it's not official yet! AIIMS is supposed to publish their own bulletin regarding this! Which they are yet to publish.
But as it seems the 85% reservation for home state ; is very very unlikely to happen. It's safe to say for now that it won't be the case. You can apply for any AIIMS college with out any restrictions; that was the motto last year and probably this year too.
Hope my answer helps and all the best!
Hi Sharan,
I understand that your OBC certificate has not been accepted by the competent authorities for AIIMS PGI and so to answer your question even a single alphabet on the certificate can make considerable difference and thus in order to get rid of this discrepancy I would like to suggest you to take the original and 2 copies of your caste certificate to a competent authority such as District Magistrate or any group A central government officer for getting yourself issued a new certificate.
BEST WISHES!
AIIMS cutoff of the year 2019 for PWD (physically handicapped) students was 45 % and equivalent to 95.2939507 percentile.
This is only the qualifying score, admission is always given to the students who have secured better score than others (i.e., relative score/ rank).

Sourandhi, now AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct their admissions based on NEET score from 2020. And DGHS On behalf of the NMC will conduct the counselling for both these Institutions including all of their branches. We do not know the source of your notification information but the MHRD has confirmed that both AIIMS and JIPMER will no more have separate entrance exams. If you can help us with the source of information, we can validate that for you.
NEET scores only will be considered for AIIMS and JIPMER admissions. There will be no merger of syllabus. NEET syallbus only will be followed. Only entrance exam changes have been announced as of now. Everything else remains the same. NTA has released the official syllabus for NEET 2020.
