M.Tech Energy and Environmental Engineering Self Sponsored at NIT Jalandhar Offline Course

Candidates who have been awarded 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from recognized University/Institute with a valid GATE score or Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of sciences with a minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5) or equivalent and a valid GATE paper as prescribed by the Department concerned are eligible to apply for admission to M. Tech. Programme of the Institute. In the qualifying degree, the candidates should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60%, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates. The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute. Only primary mode of evaluation (CGPA or percentage) as mentioned in the qualifying degree certificate/mark sheet shall be considered while verifying the eligibility. However, Conversion from CGPA to percentage or vice versa given by individual University/Institute will not be allowed.

Candidates without valid score can also apply for the M.Tech. Self-Sponsored Programme, however, they will be admitted based upon the admission test to be carried out by the respective department(s). Candidates with valid GATE score will be exempted from appearing in the written test for admission.
