Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Microelectronic Systems is a full-time two-year postgraduate course it is Jointly conducted by Electrical Communication Engg and Electronic Systems Engg Department and it is offered by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

The Institute offers programmes based on coursework: Master of Technology (M Tech) for the sponsored candidates from Defence, DRDO, BARC, ISRO, NTRO, NAL, KSRTC, BMTC, BDA, PWD, and CPRI. The Institute admits about 50 students every year under the sponsored category for its course programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

A Candidate must be passed

Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree holders in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Electronics followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.
Master’s degree holders in Science including Physics with Electronics/ Instrumentation/Geology/ Computer Applications/ Physical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences as applicable to individual departments offering MTech programmes.
All the candidates should qualify for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for the M.Tech program.

For Sponsored Candidates: BE/ B Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical; Electronics and Communication; Computer Science/Engineering; Instrumentation with Electronics.

Admission Details

Selection is based on 70% of GATE score + 30% interview

For Sponsored Candidates: Selection will be based on the performance in the interview.

College Infrastructure

The facilities are excellent. Our campus has a very peaceful and pleasant environment. Sports events are also conducted here. The campus is well maintained and is huge. There are many parks also inside the campus. Classrooms are very good and hostel services are also provided here. The WIFI service is provided all over the campus.
