NIMHANS( National Institute of Mental Health and NeuroScience) is conducted for the post of Nursing Officer (NO) & Junior Secretarial Assistants (JSA). The question that is being asked in this exam is in the objective form. And the subjects that you need to cover to prepare for this exam are:

  • 1. Aptitude.- Races and Games, Simple Interest, Number and Ages, Mensuration, Pipes and Cisterns, Problems on Trains, Boats, and Streams, etc.
  • 2. Reasoning- Analytical Reasoning, Puzzles, Verbal Reasoning, Non Verbal reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Data Interpretations, Logical reasoning
  • 3. General Science- Idioms and phrases, synonyms, error spotting, antonym, missing verbs, adjectives, etc.
  • 4. General knowledge- Static Gk as well as current affairs.
  • 5. Nursing subjects.- Clinical Pathology, Psychology, Pharmacology, Mental health, Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, Nursing Management, Pediatric Nursing, Health education and community pharmacy, Pharmaceutical chemistry.

Online registration of this exam is expected to start on 6th April 2022 and will opened till 25th April 2022.

NIMHANS PG entrance exam (Medical & Non-Medical) Session 1 will be held on July 14 and 15, 2021 and UG entrance exam will be held on July 20, 2021. The entrance test shall be held in Bengaluru only. National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) offers admission into various UG, PG, Ph.D, Super Speciality courses.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must have passed the MBBS OR Bachelor of Dental Sciences / Veterinary Sciences OR Postgraduate degree in Sociology/Statistics / Environmental Sciences /Physiotherapy /Occupational Therapy / Health Management / Social Work / Economics / Speech Pathology and Audiology / Speech Pathology / Audiology / Nursing.

The MPH course aims to develop quality public health specialists who will be able to efficiently and effectively manage the constantly evolving health situation and systems of the country. The course based on adult-learning principles would be skill-based and adopt a modular learner-centered methodology. The course will have mental health, neurosciences as the thrust areas and will also focus on practice of public health principles and tools.

The National Institute of mental Health and neuroscience offers admission to the Bachelor of Science & diploma courses provided that you have completed you are 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. You must have also secure at least 45% marks in the aggregate for being eligible for National Institute of mental Health and neuroscience Institute entrance exam. The Bachelor of Science courses offered in Nursing, Radiography, Anaesthesia Technology, Clinical Neurophysiology Technology.

Only name and photograph is verified in admit card as far as I know ,address is of least importance. So you need not worry. Take your aadhaar card if your name is matching with that of the admit card , even if the photograph is not dicto atleast it should look similar, it should look like you.

Yes , admission to all the courses is based on the marks obtained in the NIMAHNS entrance exam followed by an interview. Students  have to secure at least 50% marks in the entrance test in order to be eligible for admission.

however radiology courses is not offered by NIMHANS.

however radiology and radiography are two different course.

Radiology is a specialized field of medical science which is the process of diagnosis and treatment of diseases,  while radiography is a technology used in treatment  by scanning of images of body organs. so radiographers mainly operates the scanning machines, make reports. however in b.sc course there is not much difference between the two course curriculum, in b.sc radiology course, imaging technology, x ray scanning are also included.

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS)  conducts online entrance exam to admission in b.sc nursing, radiography, anesthesia technology courses of bachelors level. the eligibility criteria is candidates must complete 12th course with physics , chemistry and biology as mandatory subject with at least 45% marks. however this year notifications of admission has not release yet. so just follow the official site regularly and follow careers360 website to get latest exam updates.

Exam Pattern of the Radiography Course in National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS). Candidates are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the institute.

The questions in the exam will be of the class 10+2 CBSE syllabus. Students will be asked questions from:

B.Sc. in Radiography : Pre-University examination conducted by the department of Pre-University OR An Equivalent examination recognized by the NIMHANS, Bangalore OR Job Oriented Diploma course from a recognized Board with Diagnostic Radiography as vocational subject or Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology & English with a minimum of 45%* aggregate.
