MS Pharma Medicinal Chemistry - Batch of 2021-01-01
Academics
Academics here are top notch. Teachers are experts in pharma and medicinal chemistry, they teach in simple way but deep.
Curriculum updates with new research every year.
Lots of practicals and projects, helps build skills. Its structured well, no boring lectures. I learned alot about drug design.
College Infra
The infrastructure at NIPER Ahmedabad is pretty good.
Classrooms are clean and have smart boards.
Labs got all the equipments for medicinal chemistry work.
WiFi works fine in hostel too. They keep improving things every year, like the garden area for sitting. No big issues here, feels comfortable for studies.
Campus Life
Campus life is fun and lively. Annual cultural fest is highlight, with food stalls and events everyone enjoys.
Friends from different streams, study groups form easy. Hostel is okay, shared rooms but clean.
Some sports, but mostly focused on studies. Feels like small community.
Placements
Placements is decent at NIPER. About 80 percent students get job from campus.
Average package around 5-6 lakhs per year. Big pharma companies like Sun, Cipla come for medicinal chemistry roles.
TPO helps with resumes and interviews. Depends on your knowledge though, but good chance for freshers.
Value For Money
Fees is only about 1 lakh per year, thats cheap for such good pharma institute.
You get quality education and lab access worth much more. Placements make it pay back quick.
Better than many private colleges. Totally worth the money, no regrets on investing here.

MS Pharma Medicinal Chemistry - Batch of 2024-01-01
Academics
Academics strong here, faculty PhDs teach drug design, organic chem well. Curriculum mix theory and projects, includes seminars on new drugs.
First year courses, then thesis on molecules. Strict attendance but flexible for research. Experts from industry come sometimes.
Not easy, but builds skills for pharma jobs. Better than many unis, ranked high NIRF. Faculty guides good if you work hard.
College Infra
Infrastructure at NIPER Ahmedabad good for MS Pharma in medicinal chemistry. Labs modern with tools for synthesis and analysis, like HPLC machines.
Library big, full of journals and e-books on pharma. Hostels separate for boys girls, clean but small rooms.
WiFi fast in labs, slow in hostel sometimes. Canteen cheap food, sports ground for cricket. Campus green near Gandhinagar, but hot summers no AC in classes. Helps research a lot.
Campus Life
Campus life balanced, green 50 acres with tech fests, pharma clubs for debates. Crowd from all India, friends easy in hostels. Sports gym keep active, canteen 20 rs meals.
Near Ahmedabad for weekends movies. Seniors help newbies, but studies heavy so less parties. Heat tough, but events like symposia fun. Not wild but enjoyable, focus on growth. Liked the research vibe.
Placements
Placements decent for MS medicinal chemistry, 80 percent get jobs if good thesis. Median package 5 LPA in 2024, highest 10 LPA from Biocon, Alembic. Companies like Sun Pharma recruit for R&D roles.
132 out of 163 PG placed last year. Training workshops help resumes. Many go PhD abroad too. Placement cell active, but network yourself. Fine for start in industry.
Value For Money
Fees low about 2 lakh total for two years, plus 12k monthly stipend from govt if GPAT qualified. Covers labs, projects no extra.
Hostel 50k year, Gandhinagar cheap living. Great deal vs private colleges, high ROI with placements. If no stipend, still worth for research opps. Beats spending lakhs elsewhere. Good for budget, quality education. Affordable and funded.

Academics in Medicinal Chemistry at NIPER strong, faculty experts from industry teach drug design, organic synthesis clear. Curriculum covers bioassays, practicals hands-on every week.
Guest talks from Zydus pros helpful. Some topics need update on new molecules. Assignments tough but projects team-based fun.
Exams fair, doubts cleared in office anytime. Research starts early, good for papers. Classes on time mostly, but monsoons delay bus. Best for who love chemistry deep.
College Infra
NIPER Ahmedabad campus is modern and green in Gandhinagar, good for MSc Medicinal Chemistry students. Labs equipped with HPLC, NMR for synthesis work, all AC and well maintained. Classrooms have smart boards, WiFi in every corner but slows at peak hours. Library big with e-journals, books on pharma.
Hostels separate for boys girls, furnished with beds tables, but shared rooms bit cramped. Sports complex, gym, medical center there, canteen okay. Parking issues during events.
Campus Life
Campus life balanced at NIPER Ahmedabad, diverse students from India, Medicinal Chemistry batch close-knit. Fests like pharma symposium, sports meets fun with dances. Canteen cheap, idli dosa tasty but spicy. Evening walks in green area relaxing post-lab. Clubs for debate, yoga, trips to Sabarmati.
Girls hostel gate 9pm strict, boys freer. No ragging, seniors guide well. Mess okay, weekends quiet as city far. Feels home away, mix study fun good.

Placements solid for MSc Medicinal Chemistry, cell active with mock interviews from sem 3.

Mess food 3k extra, veg north-south mix. Books from library free mostly. Job after covers cost quick, no loan burden. Summers no AC in rooms hot, but overall great value for middle families.
