Shiv Nadar University, Chennai Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

Our college boasts a sprawling 250-acre green campus with a refreshing and eco-friendly vibe. The classrooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with AC, smart boards, and projectors. Multiple lecture halls and well-equipped labs support hands-on learning effectively. The library offers a wide range of books and a comfortable study environment. Wi-Fi is decent across the campus. The food court serves a good variety of hygienic food, and the sports facilities are excellent. The auditorium is modern and hosts various events. Recently, AC bus transportation has also been introduced, adding to the convenience. Overall, the infrastructure strongly supports both academic and extracurricular development.

The academic environment at our college is overall positive and growth-focused. The faculty is a mix—some are exceptionally good and supportive, while others are average, depending on individual styles. Many professors are approachable and explain concepts clearly. The curriculum is regularly updated with a good balance of theory and practical learning. Modern topics like AI and Data Science are included with the students’ future in mind. Teaching methods involve smart boards, projectors, and real-world examples, making lectures interactive and engaging. Labs are well-equipped and aligned with theory, providing valuable hands-on experience. Assessments and tests are fair and focus more on understanding than rote learning. There are plenty of opportunities to work on mini and major projects, with helpful seniors and active faculty guidance. Innovation and research are encouraged through mentorship programs. Classes are regular, and 75% attendance is mandatory, maintaining discipline. The academic culture is both competitive and collaborative, and students are encouraged to ask questions and actively participate.

The college has good placement outcomes; some students have received impressive offers, including packages up to ₹1 crore, though exact stats aren’t known to me exactly . Opportunities are definitely there. Great.

The overall experience is truly worth it. With strong academics, great infrastructure, and ample opportunities, it offers real value for money and helps shape both career and character. The experience is worth it and definitely value for money.

Great campus life. You will learn lot of things. Lots of experience.Campus life is vibrant. You'll gain valuable experiences, learn beyond academics, build skills, make great friends, and grow both personally and professionally throughout your journey.

The campus is very green, lush and environment friendly. The auditorium is huge and it's maintained neatly. Classrooms, labs and libraries are well equipped with smart accessories. The sport complexes are also maintained well.

In terms of academics, all our staffs and faculties are very well experienced and skilled in their domain of subject. Our syllabus consists of mostly industry relevant core subjects. The lab staffs are also friendly and helpful. But self effort and self study will also be required.

In terms of Placements, it's okay for now. But there's definitely scope for improvement in the upcoming years. Most of the highest salary packages are secured by B.Tech students while there B.Com and B.Sc are improving.

Shiv Nadar University Chennai, has a huge campus shared with SSN Engineering College. It includes the necessary infrastructures as academic blocks, lab facilities, classrooms with smart and libraries with wifi. The facilities are all in use and well maintained.

We have a good curriculum for the offered courses with few excellent professors who are passionate about teaching. They have programs that encourages students to do projects and take internships. Academics and extracurriculars are well balanced.

We have only one year of student graduates, almost all of the students from the students were placed by on campus placement. This year we have the first set of cybersecurity final year students so the stats particular to cybersecurity will be known

It costs around 3 lakhs per annum for the tuition fee alone. And has a hike pf 5 percent every year. I don't exactly feel like we could use a have few more staffs who are dedicated and interested it the subject and teaching

We have a beautiful campus, students practice their fav extracurriculars like music, dance, sports, etc after college hours in sports complex and auditorium. Our campus has it's very own clinic with doctors avail 24/7 and an active pharmacy, and in case of sever injury there is an ambulance ready to go.

Our infrastructure is built in such a way to support holistic and modern educational experiences. Our classrooms and labs are very well equipped with everything required. Our academic buildings and sport complexes are neatly maintained too

In terms of academics, our syllabus is straightforward and advanced, with core subjects that's relevant to current industry trends. The library is stocked with all the books required with multiple copies aswell. Also there's High speed Wi-Fi available all over the campus too

In aspects of placements, since our college is relatively new, it's average right now. But we've been promised there's definitely better placement opportunities coming up in the future years. Most of the high paying job offers are secured by btech students.

I heard the college placements are really good. I think there are a lot of placement opportunities. Seniors are extremely nice and guide us a lot and help us with interviews to crack the college placement opportunities.

SNU is worth it.

to be honest, it really depends on what you are expecting. The fees are definietly on the higher side. if you are someone who is active and wants to explore things outside of just acdemics, you willfind a lot of opportunities in clubs , events , competitions, internships and more

campus life here is honestly a mix of fun and frustration. There is always somethings happening, if you are into socializing or joining clubs, you will definitely enjoy. The crowd here is diverse so you will meet people from all over the country, which makes things more intresting.

The college has an excellent infrastructure with smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, good Wi-Fi, a central library, modern hostels, food courts and impressive sports and recreation facilities. The campus is great for a learning environment.

The academic structure is designed and updated regularly to meet industry standards. Professors are approachable and encourage discussions. Evaluation is fair and there is strong focus on practical learning.

Placements are excellent with companies from diverse sectors visiting the campus. Internships are widely available and placement cell provides strong support through resume building and training sessions.

For the fees charged, the facilities, academic quality and placement opportunities make it absolutely worth it. Scholarships and financial aid options are also available, making it accessible to a wide range of students.

It is vibrant and full of energy. Numerous clubs, events, fests and cultural activities keep students engaged. The environment is friendly, inclusive, and promotes personal as well as professional growth.

The infrastructure is one of my favorite things about the college. It is clean and spacious. The college has everything you need from a mini local shop to high tech lab. The wifi service is impeccable.

I'm currently pursuing B.Sc Economics (Data Science).Experienced staff and the curriculum is up to date. The syllabus is tough, but it is far better than the syllabus of all the other colleges having this degree. Does this make you job ready?Depends on the skills you attain other than the academics.

Since I am a second yr student I am not very aware of the placements . But I have to say that Science major placements are not as attractive as Engineering . The average package for my major was 6 Lakhs with the highest package as 10 Lakhs, which is a fraction of the Engineering placements. It is a pity that our major is dominated and placements are less emphasised.

The course costs me 3.75 lakhs per academic year. The money is worth when it comes to academics and exposure but not the placements. Yes,ShivNadar university 's placements are top tier, but for Engineering. Don't expect the same for Science and Humanities .

We have the most beautiful campus covering about 250 acres. It is lush and well maintained. We have leisure parks and 4 to 5 canteen inside the university itself. The mid day strolls are my favorite . The students are amazing and interactive. The staff are experienced and approachable. The location is safe and we have HCL clinic inside the campus for any emergencies with ambulance if the situation demands.

Your college life will be worth it in ShivNadar campus. We get to learn a lot and get first hand exposure. We have about 20 clubs and number of events all around the semesters. You will never be bored (even with exams ????) You get opportunities to stand out and show your talents . You will be able to handle anything and everything on your own. You will be ready to face challenges . With the right people and right mindset you will love ShivNadar University!

On the aspects of infrastructure , it's pretty good and our campus is green friendly. All our academic blocks are neatly maintained too!!!Our classrooms, labs and buses are air conditioned and spacious too.

When it comes to academics , it's outstanding . All our professors are very well qualified in their fielsd and most of them have obtained doctrate from reputed institutions s well. They really help us to understand our core subjects really well.

For placements, in our university right now,it's decent at best , but there's definitely scope for improvement in the upcoming years . Most of the highest packages are secured by Btech students by top companies

Our college infrastructure is very well built and modern. It's a very huge campus and well maintained aswell. All the classrooms are smart with air conditioners. The library's and lab is high tech and nice too. Hence in all aspects, infrastructure is very nice.

Our university focuses a lot on tech, research and innovation so basically our syllabus is very well advanced and updated to date and are very industry relevant. All the faculties are very helpfull and friendly and many are from top institutes like IIT's. Hence needn't worry about academicsat all, it's excellent.
