Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing good. As per rules, to be a graduate in engineering, you need a minimum of 180 credits. Therefore, you can choose to have more than 180 credits but a minimum of 180 is a must. In accordance with this rule, SRM Chennai and LPU both issues 180 total credits to a student irrespective of the engineering branch you belong to.

Also do note that in SRM, these credit system is flexible that is you can choose how many credits you want to keep in each semester.

Since not much data is given by SRM regarding Average package. The most recent data is of 2017. In that year ,the average package was 4.5 lakh. In 2015-16 ,it was 3.5 lakh. The average placement percentage in CSE is around 90%.

Yes, VIT Vellore accepts JEE score. I think you should check the dates, but i don't think the admission is still open there out. You may go through the official sites to know more.

I think you should opt for Computer Science and Engineering at SRM, Chennai (KTR campus) as this institution is famous for the placement opportunities it provides for its students. Companies like Microsoft, Dell, Wipro & many other top organization offer placement opportunities to students over here & over 90% of students who sit for placements gets placed in good companies. The highest salary offered is around INR 42 LPA & the average salary offered is around INR 7 to 10 LPA. The quality of education is also very good & the infrastructure is excellent with good food, proper air-conditioned classrooms, labs & library. The former college is not bad but SRM is better as compared to it. The one at Thapar does not provide as good placement opportunity as KTR campus & the infrastructure is also not that great.

There are many companies coming to SRM Delhi every year to offer placement opportunities to students every year. So, the package offered varies considerably but it is not as low as INR 3.5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft offers more than INR 20 LPA & other companies offer salary around INR 5 to 7 LPA so if it suits you, you can try to take admission here.

Since you have not mentioned about the course you are interested in, I will just discuss about the general placement offers provided by the respective institutions.

Chitkara University provides placement opportunities to almost 70% of its students. More than 130 companies come to the campus for recruiting students. The highest salary offered is around INR 8 to 12 LPA. Companies like FICO, Bajaj, Hike and MAQ Software, Amazon come here to offer jobs to freshers. The average salary offered is around INR 4 to 6 LPA.

SRM Delhi offers good placement opportunities to around 60% to 65% students. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Dell come here for placements. Many students are offered internship opportunities rom this institution. The highest salary offered is around INR 9 LPA. The average salary is around INR 3 to 4 LPA.

The SRM does not provide any kind of dresses to the students. Students can wear they are own dresses at their own comfort in Faculty of law, SRM. However the students have to maintain a strict dress code according to the rules of SRM.
