72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata. The Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
- A person, who has obtained a Master’s Degree in any discipline from any university or institution recognized by UGC or such other degree with at least 60% marks throughout his/her academic career, is eligible to apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program.li>
- A person, who has obtained a postgraduate Diploma/Degree of two duration or more from any university or institution recognized by UGC with at least 60% marks throughout his/her academic career, is eligible to apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program provided that such candidate has completed at least a total of five years of graduate and postgraduate study in a recognized university or institution.
