College life was not upto my expectations, I expected that after so many years in school getting forced to study a subject which I am not at all interested in, this would change in college. But it is the same scenario in college, there is no freedom to choose what you want to study, we are not able to explore every subject which we should be able to as it will help me find my actual interest. Only the senior faculty is good here, specially of electrical department, they actually make us understand things rather than rot learning, whereas the junior faculty that is around 50-60% don't even know how to teach. Extra curricular activities are encouraged, but to a certain level, college events are also good. Hostel mess food cannot be called food according to my friends. The worse thing about college is practical journals, we are performing an experiment, we should know the theory and procedure before hand, then why do we have to write it in a journal? Only observations should be noted down, that's all. And we kind of waste 60% of our free time in completing journals which is not even that important. There is no time to explore ourselves, learn new things and innovation. Thank you.

Infrastructure is good. Hostels are very good. At present, construction work is going on for the extension of hostels and there is a plan for a class room complex too(it also in progress). Electrical Engg. Dept. has a good number of faculty members. There are many clubs, the most active being the IEEE Students' Chapter. Institute Gathering(IG) is the is most enthusiastic event of this insititute. It takes place every year in January and witnesses a clash between all the depts. in sports, cultural and literary events. Placements are good in CSE dept.(high package). For other depts also placements are good but they dont have that much high package as that of CSE.. College life is always about how you mould yourself learning from others and finding your interests and executing them well. Enjoy.. :)

VNIT is the best thing that can possibly happen to me. It was the first time i got to move out of my house and live on my own. It was adventurous since Day1 in college. It teaches us so many things right from maintaining self-discipline, handling immense pressure, keeping a foresight on our ambition along with having fun with the juniors, batchmates, seniors and professors. With immense networking within the hostels, we got to know the struggles involved in every person's life. Most importantly, in VNIT, we are taught to live through our decisions to the end. Right from choosing the ur subjects to choosing ur project partners. There were times when once u topped in a certain semester and eventually in the next semester barely pass through the exam. It also taught me to set my priorities right. But when in college, students tend to loose their confidence. It was the case with me too! Now, as i am pursueing my higher studies, i can clearly witness that i have a certain edge over other students both with respect to my technical knowledge and moral attitude. It was tough hence it was worth it.

Its a great feeling to be a part of this esteemed institute. With beautiful infrastructure and strong faculty team, this college qualifies as a top level NIT. Projects under professors and various industries associated with the college, help students to develop technical and professional skills required in different walks of life. Apart from this, the enthusiastic team of students organise many cultural and technical festivals that add a fun taste in the experience of the college life. VNIT also has a markable placement record. The Alumni Association of VNIT also conducts internship drives to benefit students.

I earlier had no idea of what difference would a college make in my life but life at VNIT defines a completely different journey. Professors here are really helpful. The culture of the college includes various cultural fests , technical fests and entrepreneurship summits. The environment , greenery and campus is really a positive to count before getting into the college. I was quite disappointed when I got to know that there is no swimming pool . The internet speed here is wonderful.
