72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
I) B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE in Civil Engg.
II) M E / M.Tech in any branch of Civil Engineering/ Excavation Engineering/Mining Engineering/Applied Geology/ Urban Planning/ Urban Resource Planning/ Master's in Planning(M Plan). III) Minimum first class or 6.75 CPI / CGPA on a 10 point scale at Bachelor's or Master's level.
IV) Qualified GATE score in the past.

VNIT’s big campus has modern labs and good library. Civil dept has advanced equipment Hostels are decent, Wi-Fi is there but slow which can be useless when actually needed. Sports facilities like cricket ground and gym are nice, but i never used it.
