24 MonthsMaster of Education (M.Ed) in Special Education Hearing Impairment is a two-year full-time postgraduate course approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI) and offered by the University of Mysore, Mysore.
1) A candidate who has successfully passed the B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) degree of the University of Mysore or any B.Ed. (HI) Recognized by RCI of any other University, considered as equivalent thereto with an average of not less than 50% of marks in the qualifying examination are eligible. At the time of admission, students should produce a Degree Certificate as per the University of Mysore guidelines with RCI registration.
2) A candidate who has successfully passed the B.Ed. General course and successfully completed a Diploma in Education Special Education (HI) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India with minimum 50% marks in each program.
3) A student with B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. B.Ed.Spl.Ed.(HI) (4 years integrated).
4) Candidate should have a valid RCI registration.
For the selection of candidates, an entrance examination will be conducted at AIISH based on B.S.Ed. (HI) / B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) Syllabus of RCI. Admission shall be made only on the basis of rank in the entrance examination of AIISH. The number of questions to be answered shall be 50 in a duration of 50 minutes. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.In case of a tie, older candidates will be placed at a higher merit position.
