Post Graduate Diploma( PGD) in Augmentative and Alternative Communication is a full time one Year Course Offered By University of Mysore, Mysore and Recognized By Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI)

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Augmentative and Alternative Communication is open to the candidates who have passed in any of the below-mentioned examinations of the University of Mysore or any other recognized University or Institute with a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination. a) B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / B.ASLP or equivalent from any other recognized University. b) Bachelor in Special Education (in Hearing Impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disability, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple disabilities) or equivalent from any other recognized University. 2. The proportion of candidates to be admitted with the qualifying examination of a B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / B.ASLP and B.S.Ed. streams will be decided by the institution where the program is initiated. 3. Those with the above qualification, who are sponsored/deputed from any recognized institution, the organization would be given an additional weight of 2%. 4. No upper age limit is applicable.

Admission Details

The eligible applicants shall be shortlisted in order of merit. For candidates with B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / B.ASLP or equivalent, the average percentage marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be considered; whereas, for candidates with Bachelor of Special Education, average percentage marks of the undergraduate program (B.A. / B.Sc.) and the B.S.Ed. (Special Education) will be considered. b. The admissions shall be in accordance with the merit-cum-reservation policy of the Government of India. c. Candidates who are short-listed based on the merit-cum-reservation will undergo counseling. d. The final selection will be based on the discretion of the Director, All India Institute of Speech & Hearing, Manasagangothri, Mysuru.
