The Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture in Palani is one of the oldest and most reputed colleges, with many undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce. The college has a merit-based admission system based on the guidelines of the parent university.

Degree-wise Admission Process
B.A. Programs: Seven B.A. programs offered by this college include Tamil Literature, English Literature, History, Economics, and Indian Culture. There are 264 seats in B.A. programs, admission being on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying 10+2 examination.
B.Sc. Programs: Five B.Sc. programs are available, which are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The total intake of B.Sc. programs is 176 seats. The selection is based on the marks in the relevant subjects in the 10+2 examination.
B.Com. Programs: Available in B.Com. and B.Com. Computer Applications with a total intake of 140 seats. Merit will be given based on the qualifying exam, with preference going to students who studied commerce or related subjects.
BBA and BCA: These self-financed programs are available with an intake of 60 and 40 seats respectively. Merit in the qualifying examination and the entrance test, if any, conducted by the college will determine admission.
M.A. Programs: There are five M.A. programs offered, viz. Tamil Literature, English Literature, History, Economics, and Indian Culture. The total intake for the M.A. programs is 140 seats. Admission is based on the marks obtained in the relevant bachelor's degree.
M.Sc. Programs: Six M.Sc. programs are offered in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, and Computer Science. The total availability for M.Sc. programs is 144 seats, and selection will be based on the marks obtained by candidates in the relevant bachelor's degree.
M.Com. Programs: M.Com. and M.Com. Computer Applications with an aggregate seating of 56 are offered. Admission will be based on the marks obtained in a B.Com. or equivalent degree.
Ph.D. and M.Phil.: The college implements M.Phil. programs in Zoology, Tamil, and Economics, Ph.D. programs into different disciplines. The entrance examination and interview organized by the college or the affiliated university will determine admission to these research programs.
