    Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by the Directorate of Technical Education, Guwahati, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).


    Eligibility Criteria

    The candidate must pass the H.L.S.C. or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics) and also have to pass individually in both theory and practical/Internal Assessment with a minimum:

    • 40% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for General/OBC/MOBC candidates.
    • 35% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
    • 33% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for ST candidates.
