Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) Howrah was established in 2004. CIT Howrah offers courses at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. CIT Howrah, a private institution, is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata.

• NTA will soon release an official notification regarding the JEE Main 2025 exam on the official website. The authority will conduct the JEE Main session 1 in January 2025.

CIT Howrah offers diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Admission to these diploma programs requires candidates to have passed their Class 12 examinations from a recognized board with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. At the undergraduate level, CIT Howrah offers diverse B.Tech programmes including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. 

Admission to these courses is open to students who have completed their Class 12 education from a recognized board and have obtained a valid score in the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or JEE Main conducted by NTA. CIT Howrah also provides postgraduate courses such as MCA and M.Tech, with admissions based on entrance exams like WB JECA or WB PGET conducted by the state or WBUT.
