Academics
The academics structure is strong with well qualified teachers. The notes and study material is provided on time. Both theory and practical subject taught very well. The syllabus is up to date and completed on time.
College Infra
The college infrastructure is good and clean and very spacious. The classrooms are big with wifi facilities. The library is big and have reading space and well stocked with all books. The campus is clean.
Placements
Many companies visited campus during placement drive. The companies offer decent package to students and few students get top salary packages also. The internship support is very strong from placement cell.

B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2015-01-01
Academics
I was a student of Electronics and Communication engineering as I was more interested towards optical physics. The syllabus was based on the University guidelines. Seems need to be updated with latest research.
College Infra
Having multiple buildings along with large playground. Lab facility is available for each stream. Separate canteen area is available. Also having seperate building for pharma deegree with lab infrastructure as well.
Campus Life
All student can enjoy their life here except placement
Placements
The quality of placement was not up to the mark. Honestly, it is not good. No MNC's are requiting from our college. Only mid-level or small level companies are reaching for placement. Also the offering package was not good.
Value For Money
Based on the quality of education, cost is high

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2024-01-01
Academics
Presently I am in B.Tech 1st year of Computer Science And Engineering branch. The teachers are very good, helpful and supportive. After every class there are various doubt clearing sessions followed by weekly tests to check your progress. The college faculties keep updating us to the latest news, development, technology and all other fields. All the studies are directed to the point and makes us job ready.
College Infra
It's a good college with a big infrastructure and a big campus. It's also has hostel facility. Teachers r very helpful and supporting. There are many labs of all departments that are well maintained. The college also provides us with different cultural activities and also holds sports events every year. There are also expedition trips for the students and teachers as well. The college also has a big library with about 1lakh books of all subjects and various authors and various competitive books.
Campus Life
The Calcutta Institute Of Technology college has a big campus with greenery all around. It has many big grounds for the students to enjoy. Every evening the students come to play varigames as cricket, football, volleyball. One of its drawbacks is that its located in the outskirts of Howrah City. But it has hospital close by for emergency purposes. And the college is totally safe for all students even at night.
Placements
The quality of placement in this college is very good with an average of 80% placements every year. And the basic salary starts with 1.50 lakh yearly. The highest salary offered till now is 85 lakhs from Computer Science and Engineering branch.
Value For Money
The courses offered in our college are quiet affordable. For B.Tech courses its 4lakhs for 4 years and the college provides us that quality education and facilities too. It takes us to expedition, holds quizzes, cultural activities and sports that are funded by the college.

I have passed 12th in 2018. I have passed JEE Main in 2019. I have no diploma degree. Am I eligible for getting a lateral entry in 2nd year in CSE?
No without pursuing the DIPLOMA course you cannot get lateral entry into 2nd year in any course of engineering branch in any college in India. As per your JEE MAINS score of this year, on merit base, college and course will be granted to you as on how you fill
