Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) Howrah provides a wide array of amenities to enhance student life. CIT Howrah facilities encompass a separate hostel for accommodation, medical services for student healthcare needs, and a well-stocked library offering medical books, reference materials, textbooks, novels, and more. Boys Hostel
The college hostels incorporate furniture, electricity with generator back up, sufficient water etc. Every hostel is monitored under a round the clock warden.
Girls Hostel

Medical/Hospital
The college has an associated hospital facility. The CIT, Howrah medical facilities include a health centre with a first aid facility for the students.
Library
The College library serves as a backbone of the institute. It has a vast collection of text books, reference materials, journals, e-journals magazines, periodicals, audio videos, CD ROMs, research publication etc.
In the library there are 54487 volume of books incorporating 2071 Book Titles, 115 national journals, 9 International Journals and STM e-journals. The library is well equipped with spacious Reading Room and WiFi facility. The students can visit the library catalog for various subjects through LIBSYS online service available in the Library and can place their library books’ requisition through the online system too.
The students get general books lending facility for their respective subjects in the ensuing semester.Additionally every individual student also gets BOOK BANK facility to avail another five-six books for reading purpose at their home throughout the ensuing semester.
Sports
The College campus is endowed with indoor and outdoor sports facilities like football, cricket, table tennis, chess, carrom etc. In each academic year the institute organizes interdisciplinary cricket, football tournaments in the campus playground.
Cafeteria
The institute has a spacious, well furnished canteen with hygienic drinking water facility with a capacity of more than 100 pupils. The canteen serves quality lunch, tea, coffee, snacks, cold drinks etc at reasonable cost.
Laboratories
The college has departmental based laboratories facilities for the students. The students get more practical knowledge and exposure while working in the labs.
Transport Facility
The College Transportation facility is available from different places of megacity Kolkata, Uluberia Rly. Station to institute campus.
I.T Infrastructure
The institute has a central Computing Centre with high speed internet. Anyone can access the lab for Internet Surfing, Printing, and Document Scanning purpose.
Wifi
The College have WiFi Internet access is available in every corner of the campus
Banks/ATMs
The College entrance of the main gate there is a bank branch of BANK OF BARODA with all kind of instrumental facility. Just beside the bank there is an ATM
Extra Curricular Activities
The college has Extracurricular facilities for all students.
Training and Placement Cell
The college has Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is good and clean and very spacious. The classrooms are big with wifi facilities. The library is big and have reading space and well stocked with all books. The campus is clean.

College Infrastructure

Having multiple buildings along with large playground. Lab facility is available for each stream. Separate canteen area is available. Also having seperate building for pharma deegree with lab infrastructure as well.

College Infrastructure

It's a good college with a big infrastructure and a big campus. It's also has hostel facility. Teachers r very helpful and supporting. There are many labs of all departments that are well maintained. The college also provides us with different cultural activities and also holds sports events every year. There are also expedition trips for the students and teachers as well. The college also has a big library with about 1lakh books of all subjects and various authors and various competitive books.

I have passed 12th in 2018. I have passed JEE Main in 2019. I have no diploma degree. Am I eligible for getting a lateral entry in 2nd year in CSE?

No without pursuing the DIPLOMA course you cannot get lateral entry into 2nd year in any course of engineering branch in any college in India. As per your JEE MAINS score of this year, on merit base, college and course will be granted to you as on how you fill
