• On July 17, 2024, the fifth round of counselling for JoSAA seat allocation through JEE Main (Session Apr 2024) is ongoing in an online mode.
• Candidates participating in the WBJEE 2024 exam can modify and lock their choices online on July 21, 2024. The online process for candidate registration, payment of registration fee, and choice filling will continue from July 10, 2024, to July 21, 2024. The results of Round 1 seat allotment for WBJEE 2024 will be announced online on July 23, 2024.

Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) Howrah was established in 2004. CIT Howrah offers courses at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institute offers diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Admission to these diploma programs requires candidates to have passed their Class 12 examinations from a recognized board with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. CIT Howrah, a private institution, is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata.

At the undergraduate level, CIT Howrah offers diverse B.Tech programmes including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Admission to these courses is open to students who have completed their Class 12 education from a recognized board and have obtained a valid score in the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or JEE Main conducted by NTA. CIT Howrah also provides postgraduate courses such as MCA and M.Tech, with admissions based on entrance exams like WB JECA or WB PGET conducted by the state or WBUT.
