    About CUIET Malappuram

    CUIET is a constituent College under Calicut University, which is located in the Malappuram district of Kerala was established in the year 2001. This joint institution is an engineering school that occupies 25.17 acres of land and has various programmes for the training of intending technologists. The college is fully accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), of which the acronym forms the last part of CUIET Malappuram’s popular moniker. Superior faculty recruitment of 40 well-qualified professionals is committed to imparting quality education and individual attention to students in five B.Tech specialities. 

    CUIET Malappuram (Calicut University Institute of Engineering and Technology) is a constituent college of the University of Calicut, Kerala, and is fully affiliated with the University of Calicut.  The institute boasts of being in a position to provide all-around amenities to complement the student experience. It has modernly equipped departmental laboratories for practical sessions within the campus. Known to be the storehouse of knowledge, the library has books in excess of 17000 and journals totalling 218 to support the students’ academic requirements. For accommodation purposes, CU offers strictly limited hostels for both male and female students in CUIET. Health care services for the students are also provided by a practising and qualified medical practitioner at the University Health Centre, in the institute's premises. College people can play in the playgrounds or build up a great body by utilising the college's well-equipped Gymnasium, thus adopting a healthy lifestyle. Availability of computers and communication means; it will interest you to note that the internet is made available to students throughout the campus through wireless fidelity, commonly referred to as Wi-Fi.

    CUIET Malappuram provides five full-time B.Tech programmes with a four-year term. Some of these programmes are electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information and technology, mechanical engineering and printing technology. The total approved intake of these courses is 270, of which 60 intake capacity has been approved for four programmes and 30 intake capacity for Printing Technology.

    The admission structure at CUIET Malappuram is the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination, commonly known as KEAM. At present, only 5% of seats are offered to the management and the rest are filled by the Centralised Allotment Process by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala.

    CUIET of Calicut University, Institute of Engineering Technology, located in Malappuram, is one of the well-reputed constituent colleges of Calicut University. The institute conducts a number of B.Tech programmes with a structured admission process that forms a part of the Government of Kerala. The CUIET Malappuram admission process is purely centred on selecting deserving candidates in a centralised manner, hence ensuring total transparency and fairness.

    95% of the seats for the B.Tech programmes are filled through the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) operated by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations based on KEAM scores. The remaining 5% is reserved for those entering under the management quota. The allocation of seats in this pattern will ensure that most are awarded strictly on merit, thus creating an equal opportunity for all eligible candidates.

    The central library has a ready stock of books, journals, magazines, and newsletters from all over the world. The hostel provides air-conditioned rooms and separate mess for each hostel, 24x7 Wi-Fi facility for uninterrupted internet connectivity, last hours library facility, and common room of each hostel with LCD.

    Calicut University divided 3 formulae for converting CGPA to percentage, one for students whose percentage falls between 40-90%, one for percentage between 90-100 and another for percentage less than 40%. Based on that, for Candidates whose percentage lies between 40-90%,, the formula to convert CGPA to percentage is 40+(CGPA-0.5) X

    No, if any colleges withdrawl their name from any counselling does not mean that college is cheating with you. Many colleges (good) have their own merit list or entrance exam.
