    CEV is accredited engineering College in Vadakara, Kerala state, established in the year 1999. This college comes under AICTE and is NAAC accredited that offers dynamic engineering and computer application courses. Being associated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University it has developed into a reputed institute possessing a campus area of 25 acres, for 950 numbers of students and thirty five numbers of faculties. The gender distribution in the college is comparatively equal, 350 males and 367 female students which mean that the college admits both male and female students in equal numbers.

    College of Engineering, Vadakara has a variety of modern amenities to complete the learning environment for students. The campus includes sophisticated laboratories, a computerised library and nice hostels for boys and girls. Recreational facilities for sports-loving students include structures to enable different games to be played Commercial necessity has provided a cafeteria for the students to have their meals. Internet facilities, which are always free and strong; and transport facilities, namely the buses to Vadakara, Payyoli, Koyilandi, Perambra, etc. A medical centre in tandem with the Cooperative Hospital Vadakara offers other primary healthcare on site in its hospital.

    With academic portfolio of 7 courses in 3 degree levels, might is the kind of institute that can cater for all your educational needs. These include B.Tech. full time degree programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Further, CEV offers a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course and diploma course in Automation and Robotics. The new student enrollment for the entire gamut of courses is 950 and the B.Tech programme including, Mechanical, Civil, Automobile and Computer Science has an admission capacity of 60 students whereas Information Technology has a limited intake of 30 students.

    Student admission at CEV is mainly through the admission Centralised Allotment Process under the Entrance Commissioner. B.Tech have admission through KEAM examination and for other programmes admission procedure is entrance examination/ merit basis. This college recognizes many examinations and coaching, and KEAM is the most popular for students applying for engineering. The following scholarships are provided by CEV: Merit Cum Means Scholarship, E– Grantz, Co-operative Professional Education Fund Scholarship. Among such scholarships there are those which are based on providing money needed in the pursuit of education and those that consider financial problems of students.     However the cut offs for mechanical engineering branch in this college in around 10k for the year 2023 which is somewhat the lowest branch
