The College of Food Technology, Thumburmuzhy, affiliated to the Kerala Agricultural University and was established in 2015 is a constituent college at Chalakudy in Thrissur district of Kerala. B.Tech Food Technology:
Presently, the College of Food Technology, Thumburmuzhy caters to a full-time B.Tech course: B.Tech in Food Technology. It is a four-year undergraduate program covering food processing, preservation, and quality issues. The approved intake capacity for the course is 20, allowing for personalized attention and conducive learning environment.
Admission into B.Tech Food Technology is conducted based on KEAM examination performance. Selection is done on the most qualified and deserving admitted candidates. The KEAM results are announced, and the qualified candidates will be called for the counseling process for allocation of seat.
The curriculum of the B.Tech Food Technology program is designed to equip the students with fundamental concepts of food science and technology while preparing them for successful careers in the food industry. The program includes theoretical knowledge followed by practical training in the well-equipped laboratories and modern facilities of the college.
It have basic infrastructure equipment facilities but permanent faculties are less in number .good atmosphere for sports.All the infrastructure and facilities available are maintained well . Living places are clean
