D.A.V. Velankar sits on a tidy, historic campus with neat buildings, a largeibrary full of books, and study rooms. There are sports areas and a campus auditorium too. Facilities are solid and well-kept, giving a helpful setting for learning even today.
Teachers here explain commerce and computer application topics clearly. They cover subjects from basic accounting to software usage. Back in 2016, lectures and notes helped a lot. Now, they still hold workshops and interactive sessions to keep things useful.
The college maintains a decent placement cell. A few companies like banks and IT firms contact the college for interns or jobs mostly are service-based companies... Even though not everyone lands a corporate job directly, many use their BCA or B.Com degree to enter local businesses, coaching roles, or pursue further education successfully.
When I studied in 2016, the fee was low and manageable. Today, BCA costs around ₹19,135 and B.Com about ₹1,910 in the first year. These reasonable fees make the courses accessible to many students and give good value in terms of what students learn and where they proceed afterward.
Life on campus is friendly and inclusive. Students celebrate cultural fests, join debates and seminars, and use sports and library time to bond. Though it's a smaller environment compared to city colleges, the sense of community remains strong from beginning to now.
D.A.V. Velankar College of Commerce continues to serve BCA and B.Com students well. With helpful teachers, fair fees, and a supportive campus, it remains a trusted choice from 2016 till today. While industry links could grow, the foundation and campus spirit are still solid.
