    The Department of Laws, Panjab University is having a separate placement cum training cell. The main goal of the Placement-cum-Counseling cell is to provide career counselling and guidance regarding the various academic and placement avenues available. The Department of Laws, Panjab University placement cell covers activities such as simulation exercises, working on real client problems, legislative drafting, and law reform exercises to achieve this programme. The placement cum training cell's main goal is to emphasise the learning of skills in the legal education curriculum through a variety of programmes. 

    Department of Laws, Panjab University strives to produce lawyers with a sense of social responsibility who can face new challenges posed to the legal profession regularly. The college continues to hold seminars on legal and general topics as part of its extracurricular activities. Moot committees have been formed for frequent moot programmes to help students improve their professional skills. Department of Laws, Panjab University placement cell also engages in a wide range of activities such as clinical training and the sharing of information from areas other than traditional legal areas to improve the delivery of legal services through discussions and debates with legal experts and judges.

    The placement is poor and there is no facility for it, or even a club or society. There should also be separate certificates provided in order to equip students with placement training and hone their professional skills.
