GITAM University Bengaluru provides a range of scholarships to support students in pursuing higher education and to help reduce their financial burden. These scholarships are offered based on merit, financial need, sports achievements, and special categories, and students must fulfil the required eligibility criteria to avail the benefits.
The university has also launched the GITAM Pathway Scholarship Programme to support students from government Tribal Welfare and Social Welfare institutions. Through this initiative, 786 students are offered scholarships worth up to Rs 30 crore, which include up to a 100% fee waiver covering tuition fees, food, and accommodation.
The scholarships at the GITAM University Bengaluru campus are mainly granted based on merit through the GITAM Admission Test (GAT), and selected candidates are admitted to different undergraduate programmes. The Pathway programme focuses on providing quality higher education opportunities to students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

GITAM University Scholarships 2026

Merit Scholarships
GITAM University provides students with Merit based scholarships. GITAM University merit scholarships are based on marks secured in entrance examinations such as GAT/ GBAT/ JEE Mains/ CUET/ CAT/ MAT/ NMAT and other national or state-level entrance exams.
The scholarship offered through GBAT/ GAT or national and state entrance examinations is applicable only for the first academic year. To continue receiving the same scholarship in the following years, students must secure a minimum CGPA of 8.
If a student obtains a CGPA between 7.5 and 7.99, the scholarship will be reduced to the next lower slab among 75%, 60%, 40%, 25%, and 15%. However, this reduction rule does not apply to students who are already receiving a 15% scholarship. Students can become eligible for the scholarship again in any subsequent year once they achieve the required CGPA.
Need-Based Scholarships
GITAM University provides Need-based scholarships to students who already receive merit scholarships and belong to financially weaker families.

It has good infrastructure with modern classrooms , well maintained labs for computer, physics, chemistry and smart boards in many rooms.The campus has Wi-Fi across classrooms,library and hostels,a large library with study spaces,clean hostels and facilities for sports and indoor games.The environment supports learning and daily student life.

Yes, it has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. We have wifi, smart boards, black and white boards and are well maintained. The living places are clean and hygienic. Overall it was nice.
