Gokula Krishna College of Pharmacy, Sullurpet Admission Process

Gokula Krishna College of Pharmacy, located at Sullurpet, with an elaborate admission procedure for pharmacy courses. The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and practices a merit-based admission procedure for both graduate and postgraduate programs. The admission cycle usually follows the academic calendar which starts approximately in August or September. There are two tier admission processes for B.Pharma admissions. For 70 percent of the seats, admission is carried out through government counseling based on the scores of AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test). The rest are under the management quota. The AP EAMCET examination is usually conducted in May, with results and subsequent counseling occurring in the ensuing months.

The M.Pharma admissions occur in a three-tier system. Candidates may enter by GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) conducted by AICTE or by AP PGECET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) conducted by AP State Council of Higher Education, or through management quota. The AP PGECET is usually conducted in the month of June. Eligibility for B. Pharma is passing of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. Qualifications for M.Pharma do require a B.Pharma from a recognized university.

Application Process

The application procedure is specific to the program and the chosen admission route.

  1. For B.Pharma (AP EAMCET route):
  2. Take the AP EAMCET exam conducted by APSCHE.
  3. Register for AP EAMCET counseling after results are announced.
  4. Select Gokula Krishna College of Pharmacy during the counseling process.
  5. If allotted, report to the college for document verification and admission formalities.

For B.Pharma (Management Quota):

  1. Contact the college directly for the management quota application.
  2. Submit all required documents along with the application to the college.
  3. Be available for any interviews or selection processes laid down by the college.

For M.Pharma programs (GPAT/AP PGECET route):

  1. Attempt GPAT conducted by AICTE or AP PGECET conducted by APSCHE.
  2. Apply for respective counseling processes as per the announcement of respective results.
  3. During counseling, select Gokula Krishna College of Pharmacy and preference for specialization.
  4. If allotted, complete admission formalities at the college.

For M.Pharma programs (Management Quota):

  1. Directly contact the college for management quota seats.
  2. Submit all required documents with the application.
  3. Attend any selection processes or interviews as required by the college.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: In the case of admission of 100 seats the B.Pharma program was introduced at Gokula Krishna College of Pharmacy. Admission based on AP EAMCET scores for 70% of seats, whereas 30% of seats are filled under-management quota. The program is a four-year program aimed at imparting a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical sciences.

M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: The postgraduate program has 15 approved seats. Admissions are from GPAT scores, from AP PGECET scored, or through the management quota. The two-year course develops advanced training in formulation and delivery of drugs.

M.Pharma Pharmacology: This specialized M.Pharma program has 6 approved seats. The admissions procedure is the same as for M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics. This course study focuses on drug action, making it an ideal choice for students who wish to pursue drug research and development.

The documents usually required for admission are:

  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate (for M.Pharma)
  • Entrance exam score card (AP EAMCET/GPAT/AP PGECET)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photographs.
