Government College of Pharmacy, Rohru Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college owns a neat, clean, and excellent central hostel facility that can accommodate 90 girl students. Each student is provided with a single bed, a chair, a table, and a suitable locker facility on twin sharing basis. The hostel has a spacious dining hall where healthy and delicious meals are served at reasonable rates. A separate television/common room for the students and a separate visitor’s room are also available where the students can meet their visitors/wards. 

The college has acute health care services with a first-aid facility dedicated especially to students and faculty.

The college has an excellent library and information center, one of the central support services of the institution which acts as a primary source for information seekers. The library has been carefully designed to maximize natural lighting for the users and provide a comfortable seating and reading environment. The library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROMs, books, national and international journals, back volumes of journals, thesis, WHO publications-journals, E-books, and E-journals. There are over 6000 volumes of books belonging to various core subjects of Pharmaceutical Sciences. 

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has More than twenty computers with the latest configuration with the facility of the internet available in the college for imparting the latest technological know-how to the students. The computer lab is provided to the students for project work, PowerPoint presentations, and surfing to keep them updated to face the competitive world

The college has an Auditorium hall is available on the second floor of the administrative block. It is having adequate seating arrangement, an LCD projector and motorized projector screen, and an audio-visual system with power backup facilities for organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, guest lectures, and other events. 

The college is equipped with ultramodern infrastructure and facilities such as well-equipped laboratories, a central instrumentation room, machine room, museum, library, computer lab, etc. for enriching the students with the latest developments in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences as per norms, curriculum and requirements of the courses. Latest and modern technologies including F.T.I.R., H.P.L.C., rotary tablet machine, rotary evaporator, Brookfield viscometer, laminar air flow, U.V.-visible spectrophotometer, microtome, S.D.S. page, etc. are the sophisticated instruments of different laboratories. All the equipment in the laboratories is maintained as per P.C.I. and A.I.C.T.E. guidelines. Every six months, the lab attendants and staff conduct an audit of chemicals. All the safety measures have been put in place in case of emergencies.

The college has a guest house with well-furnished rooms and attached bathroom-cum toilets with each suit. The rooms are available for college guests, parents, and for students when they come in during off-campus hours. A minimum suitable charge has been taken for logging into these rooms.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The College provides transportation facilities for the students. Although, the college is situated close to the city and there is frequent HRTC bus service facility.

The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.
