Playing sports teaches lessons in life, such as teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, responsibility, and self-discipline. Sports help prepare students to face the challenges of life. Keeping in view a cricket match was played between Government Degree College Uri versus Administration 11 Uri on 26th November 2021 at Uri Stadium. The match was organized by Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with the Uri administration.

Eco Club- The Eco Club of GDC Uri empowers its students to chip in and take up significant environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which our students reach out to influence, and connect their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior. It empowers students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of the curriculum. While everyone, everywhere, asserts the importance of ‘learning to live sustainably,’ environment remains a peripheral issue in the formal schooling system.

The college also provides extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC.
