Government Girls College, Taranagar Admission Process

Government Girls College, Taranagar, is an affiliated college in Churu, Rajasthan, a women's institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in arts and science streams. The method of admission to Government Girls College, Taranagar is made easy for the various students who are interested in pursuing their higher education in the institution.

To qualify for admission to undergraduate courses opened in the institution, the college mainly considers the marks earned from the 12th standard qualifying examination, as well as merit-based admission criteria following the other government colleges within Rajasthan. Degree wise Admission Procedure

BA: The college offers a Bachelor of Arts course with a sanctioned intake of 200 students. Admission to the BA program will most likely be based on the performance attained in the 12th standard examination. Any student from any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce) can generally apply for BA programs.

B.Sc – Zoology, Botany and Chemistry: This course has an approved intake of 44 students. Crude admission is based merely on the 12th standard marks along with biology and chemistry subjects. Students from the 12th standard who are having these subjects will qualify themselves to apply.

B.Sc – Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics: Again, similar to the other B.Sc course, this program also has sanctioned intake of 44 students. Generally, 12th standard marks would be considered along with subjects like mathematics, chemistry and physics for eligibility of admission.

MA Geography: The college has provisions for Master of Arts in Geography with an available sanctioned intake of 20 students. The mode of admission into this postgraduate program is likely via marks obtained in the corresponding bachelor's degree but possibly providing preference to students with a geographical or related background. 

M.Sc Chemistry: This postgraduate program has an approved intake of 20 students. Traditionally, the criteria for admission would combine that, particularly for B.Sc with Chemistry as a major subject.
