36 MonthsDiploma in Computer Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by the Directorate of Technical Education, Panchkula, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility Criteria
A Candidate should have passed the 10th examination from the Board of School Education, Haryana, or an equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with 35% marks (subject to change by State Govt. decision, if any).
For Lateral Entry
- Candidates who have passed ITI (at least two years), 10+2 (vocational), or 10+2 with PCM are eligible for lateral entry into the 2nd year of the relevant Diploma Engineering course, as per the compatibility of courses mentioned in the DET/DET(L) prospectus. Admission for lateral entry is based on merit in the DET(L) entrance examination, followed by the same online counselling process
General Condition: Lateral entry students from ITI must additionally undergo the Applied Science course in the 3rd and 4th semesters, alongside the prescribed diploma curriculum (exemptions may apply per Board rules, e.g. for Engineering Drawing already studied at 10+2 level).
Admission Details
The admission to Diploma (Engg.) courses will be based on the merit of qualifying exams i.e. 10th class. Ranks based on inter-se Merit of 10th class.
