Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a fully digitalized library with more than 10000 books in diverse disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences and allied subjects. For scholarly and updated information e-journal facility with a collection of 90 e-journals from Science Direct, Bentham Science, and DELNET is also available for students and staff. In addition, the library has an excellent collection of self-learning materials for students on the subject and beyond. 

The college's aim is that students should not only be trained academically, but also they should have time for sports. For students, sports activities work like magic and eradicate the feeling of homesickness. It is through such activities only that they can keep themselves healthy and retain their enthusiasm and spirit throughout their study. Adjacent to the hostel buildings, there is a spacious playground. Sports activities enhance the virtues of team spirit, cooperation, patience, and sportsmanship among the students. The activities include various outdoor games like Basketball, volleyball, handball, Badminton, Cricket, and Football, and indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Chinese checkers, & Carom. 

The college has Keeping in view the increased emphasis on technology, the Innovative College has developed a computer lab with a Wi-Fi system. The lab is equipped with a sufficient number of computers with the latest configuration and software. In addition, we also have an Internet facility through a local ISP. 

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has a Seminar hall that helps to gather all the students, faculty, and corporate personalities under one roof. It provides the stage to show the skills of art and management. The seminar hall has a seating capacity of approximately 250 people. Most of the academic and cultural events of the college are conducted in the seminar hall. The seminar hall is equipped with Audio-Visual and other ICT facilities for the smooth conduct of the activities.

The college has a Pharmacognosy lab that provides adequate facilities for morphological and microscopical studies of cells and tissues in different parts like root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit, and seed of natural plants, identification, and standardization of crude drugs. This lab provides an opportunity for the students to gain knowledge of the physicochemical properties of natural products and natural medications, as well as the identification tests, extraction, isolation, detection, determination, and estimation of natural products, quantitative and qualitative analysis of drugs and phytoconstituents extracted from medicinal plants. 

The college has dedicated classrooms that are spaciously designed & furnished with necessary technical teaching aids like audio-visual facilities with a capacity of 60 students.
