HJ Thim College of Arts and Science, Jalgaon Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a well-equipped library with a reading room. The library has a sufficient collection of textbooks, reference books, journals, periodicals, monthly news magazines, and newspapers. The library aims to develop reading habits among the students. Total books available in the library are 19,777 worth Rs. 21,82,946.60/- only.

The college has 35 computers along with a high configuration to provide IT facilities to Staff and Students. Five rooms are in college is equipped with Computer and LCD Projectors for effective teaching-learning. All the computers in the college campus have Internet with high-speed. The college has a 10MBPS broadband internet connection.

The College campus has a Wi-Fi network. The students of the college can avail of the internet facility provided through the Department of Information and Technology from 11:00 A.M. to 04:00 P.M.

The college has adequate facilities for sports, games (indoor, outdoor), and cultural activities, and NSS. Adequate Infrastructure has been provided for students to take part in Sports, Games, and Cultural activities. The college has made provision for multiple activities on the grounds. Indoor games like Chess & Cultural activities are always indicated when this seminar hall. According to the requirement, the remaining teaching room is also utilized for conducting different activities like Sports Day, Yoga days, lectures for sports, sports meets, etc. After the teaching Session

The College Gymkhana's sports committee of the college comprises dedicated teachers and a Director of Physical Education to fulfill the needs of the students for various sports activities. The students participate in various sports at intercollegiate, University, state, and national levels and win medals and trophies in different sports activities.

The College has laboratory materials, models, types of equipment for the demonstration, and science practicals which help to develop scientific views, and comprehensive, analytical, and communicative skills among the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has a health care center with a first and facility for the students.

The College Alumni Association has been active in the college since 2002 and it is registered on 22/05/18. The association actively participates and contributes to the college’s academic and administrative development. The committee regularly organizes its meetings in the college. Coordinating well in the functioning of the college, every year suggestion is given by Alumni, through feedback forms. Further, alumni are appointed as members of the College Development Committee. The Alumni mark their presence in the various activities and programs such as Youth Festival, Fare-well Function, Fresher’s Day, and many more. They extend their helping hand in arranging the outreach programs under extension activities such as Roza Iftar, Sadbhavna Da,y and Tree Plantation. The Alumni regularly participate in yearly sports activities.

The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.

The College Iqra Education Society provides hostel facilities for female students only. The Hostel building is beside the college campus. This facility is available for female students studying in college.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has an Extracurricular activities NSS Unit, and every year about 170 students enroll themselves for NSS. They are expected to dedicate 120 hours to social work and to attend the NSS camp during the academic year. Certificates are awarded to the students who satisfactorily attend the camp and other activities under the NSS. The college intended to start the NCC unit from the academic year 2018-19 for the benefit of the students. The aim of starting the NCC unit at college is to develop dedication and a feeling of national integration among the students.
