Hooghly Women's College, Pipulpati Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

There is a two-storied building within the college compound for the accommodation of students of Honours courses. New Hostel for students is under construction with UGC special assistance Scheme.

Students get medical care and support from Studen's Health Home Programme. The zonal center of SHH, Hooghly is nearby the college and no separate room exists in the college.

The College Library was started along with the establishment of the college in 1949. The college maintains a resourceful well-equipped library with a well-furnished and spacious reading room. The college library system comprises the Central Library and 17 Departmental Libraries. At present, the Central Library has over 29906 volumes of books and 22 journals/magazines. Apart from printed documents, the college library has approximately 4000 e-journals and more than 70000 e-books by subscribing INFLIBNET-NLIST program. 

The college has sports facilities for all students. A medium-sized playground is available within the college campus.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The canteen is running successfully within the college campus, having separate sitting spaces for students and teachers.

A state-of-the-art auditorium is there for holding seminars and cultural functions. Fixed plush seating and audio-visual facilities are there.

The college has formed an Alumni Association in the recent past which is to be registered. The Hooghly Women‘s College Alumni Association has a deep bond with the college and regularly organizes the cultural program and also sometimes collaborates with departments and also the college itself to organize cultural as well as academic events.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has parking shed space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.
