Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences (IIAPS) based at Jamnagar is a premier institution under the Gujarat Ayurved University which exclusively offers educational courses in Ayurvedic pharmacy. Two flagship programs offered by IIAPS are D.Pharma Ayurved and B.Pharma Ayurved. The institution is very much concerned with its curriculum and quality of teaching so as to attract those students who aspire to pursue traditional Indian medicine and pharmacy.
Every year, admissions take place at IIAPS along with the academic calendar. Mostly merit-based, academic performance is the most important yardstick for candidates' admission, while at times, interview assessments will also be conducted to evaluate the interest and suitability of a candidate to the program.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates must complete 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology must be passed subject.
Percentage as required by the institute.
There is no entrance test however interviews can be conducted.
Application Process
The following are the steps to be followed for admission to Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences (IIAPS), Jamnagar:
1. Procurement of Application Form
Application forms can be collected from the admission office of the institute or downloaded from the official website (if online forms are available).
2. Filling Up of Application Form
Fill up the relevant personal, academic and contact details in the form correctly.
3. Attach Necessary Documents
Attach the following documents with the application form:
Passport-size photographs
Mark sheets and certificate of class 10th and 12th
Transfer Certificate
Character Certificate
Any extra documents as required by the institute
4. Application Submission
Submit the completed application form along with other required documents to the admission office before the due date.
5. Application Fee
Pay the application fee as per institute guidelines. The payment method will be mentioned in the instructions regarding the application.
6. Candidate Selection
The applications will be analyzed, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic qualifications and eligibility criteria for their participation in an interview (if applicable). The candidates shortlisted may be called for personal interviews to assess their motivation and knowledge about Ayurvedic pharmacy.
7. Final Selection
The final selection of the candidate will be based on academic performance and interview results.
8. Confirmation of Admission
To confirm admission, selected candidates have to deposit their fees and submit the remaining documents within the stipulated time.
9. Orientation & Course Start
The institute will notify about the orientation and commencement of course for the selected students.

Intake: 60 seats
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Admission Basis: Academic performance in 10+2; interview for shortlisted candidates.
Total Fee: ₹90,000
B.Pharma Ayurved
Duration: 4 years
Intake: 60 seats
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Admission Basis: Academic performance in 10+2; interview for shortlisted candidates.
Total Fee: ₹2,00,000
Both the courses focus on practical training for Ayurvedic pharmacy, with small batches to enable quality education and personalized learning.
