Indian Maritime University, Navi Mumbai Campus Admission Process
Indian Maritime University, Navi Mumbai Campus offers a B.Sc (Nautical Science), Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc (Applied Nautical Science), M.Sc (Commercial Shipping and Logistics Management) and some modular courses. Along with qualifying marks, candidates score in the entrance exam conducted by IMU-Mumbai Campus is the major requirement for the courses. Whereas, candidates having degree and diplomas in marine are exempted from the IMU-CET. The admission process of the courses offered by IMU-Mumbai is given below:
The admission process of B.Sc Nautical Science:
- Eligible candidates need to submit their application online.
- In the next stage, they have to appear for the IMU-CET.
- The merit list will be prepared based on the entrance examination.
- Accordingly, candidates have to report to the institution.
The admission process of M.Sc. (Commercial Shipping and Logistics):
- Eligible candidates need to submit their application online.
- In the next stage, they have to appear for the IMU-CET.
- Candidates with the following categories do not need to appear for IMU-CET. (Candidates with any U.G. Degree from IMU, a seafarer in possession of a certificate of competency recognised as equivalent to a U.G., and a commissioned officer from Indian Navy/Coast Guard with a U.G. degree.)
The admission process of Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc (Applied Nautical Science):
- Eligible candidates need to submit their application online.
- In the next stage, they have to appear for the IMU-CET.
The admission process of Advanced Fire Fighting Course (AFFC);
- Eligible candidates need to submit their application online.
- Candidates must have completed the DG approved Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting Course.
- They also must have served at sea for a minimum period of six months and possess INDOS number.
- Should bring following xerox copies of documents.
- They are also required to have DG approved medical fitness certificate.

This is one of the best maritime training institutes

Academics
The faculties are the best . The way of teaching is so nice . The whole academics consists of 6 sem in 3 years . The faculties includes qualified and experienced masters, engineers, and some has ph.D's .
College Infra
It is the first maritime college in india , so it's an old college . The work shop and other labs are very well maintained . For swimming training they have very good and big pool . Classrooms contains 40 students and they are smart class
Placements
The placement record of last year was more than 75% But this year due to pandemic its just 50 out of 140 cadets got placement . Overall its more than 75% . In case of placement the college is doing well.

In india the Lowest fee for bsc is imu campuses

Academics
I m student of bsc nautical science because I want to know about it. It has more opportunities than other courses. Quality of teaching for my course is excellent. Assignments and class test are taken periodically. My curriculum is updated. I m prepared for all the challenges going to come. The college not only teaches the course but enhances your overall personality too. Everything is very punctual.
College Infra
It the most renowned university for merchant Navy. It is a training centre. The college has well organised. It has branches in other cities too. The facilities are very fascinating. Classrooms are big enough. Laboratories are all updated with new equipments. Hostels are well organised. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained every day.
Campus Life
My campus life is outstanding. Honestly, you get all the stuffs to do around. Students are also very friendly and supportive. The college is very much particular about it's discipline. So there is no chaos between anything or anyone. Students and teachers are very cooperative. The college lies in Residential area. So it is safe. For emergencies students are taught to protect themselves and college also take steps to figure out problems.
Placements
Placements generally depends on marks you obtained. If your marks are very good then you surely get a good job in good company. The salary depends on what post you are at. If you are an officer salary will be rupees 50000 or above that. I have to score excellent marks to placed. There is no doubt that college will not support. College supports a lot to student.
Value For Money
My course cost 1 lakh per semester. I feel so I m in a good college and the quality of education. The facilities, infrastructure, events and placement is good. So, I can't let it go like this. A little bit expensive but it's worth.
