Indira Priyadarshini Government Girls PG College of Commerce, Haldwani has continued to develop as an institution committed to higher education for women within the bounds of the state of Uttarakhand.  Generally, it starts the admission process in July-August every year for various reasons beyond its control. The basic eligibility criterion to be admitted to undergraduate programs (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, and B.Com Hons) is successful passing of the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination from a recognized board. In the B.Sc programs, candidates should have completed their Higher Secondary education with a science stream. The eligibility criterion for admission into the postgraduate programs (M.Com, M.Sc, and MA) requires that candidates have graduated with a valid three-year bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Thus, fair consideration is given to students who perform well academically during their schooling.

Application Procedure

Indira Priyadarshini Government Girls PG College of Commerce, Haldwani application process was set to be as simple and accessible as possible for eligible candidates for admission. Below is the stepwise procedure for applying:

1. Admissions Announcements: The colleges generally announce the opening of the admission process on their official website and local dailies. Hence, prospective students should follow and check the status for any updates.

2. Application Form: The application form can be procured either from the Admission Office of college or downloaded through the official college website.

3. Fill the Application Form: Fill up all compulsory field in the application form. All information provided should be correct and match with the information on your educational certificates.

4. Submission of Documents: Along with a duly filled application form, the applicants shall attach self-attested photocopies of all the documents mentioned below:

• Mark Sheets of qualifying examinations (10+2 for UG Courses, Bachelor's degree for PG Courses)
• Character certificate from the last attended institution
• Transfer certificate
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• Caste certificate (if applicable under reserve category)
• Recent passport size photographs

5. Application Submission: Complete application forms with all necessary documentation are due to be submitted at the college admission office before the cut-off date.

6. Merit List Publication: The college will publish merit lists of candidates on the basis of performance of candidates in qualifying examinations, which will be placed on notice board of the college and be accessible through college website.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA: The college has 507 BA seats. Admission is given to candidates who have undergone Higher Secondary education, and merit is based on 10+2.

B.Sc: There are 160 seats for B.Sc. Eligible candidates complete their Higher Secondary education in science. Admission shall depend on the merit of the qualifying examination.

B.Com: The college has 160 seats for B.Com. Candidates who have completed their Higher Secondary education can apply. Selection is based on the merit of the 10+2 results.

B.Com Hons: This program has 60 specialized seats. The minimum eligibility includes completion of the Higher Secondary examination. Admissions are based on the merit of qualifying examination results.

M.Com: The college has 60 seats for the M.Com program. Candidates must have graduated with a three-year B.Com or an equivalent degree. They are selected based on the merit of the undergraduate results.

M.Sc: Separate M.Sc. programs in Physics, Chemistry, and Botany are offered with 30 seats each. Eligibility requires graduation with a relevant three-year B.Sc. or equivalent degree. Admission is based on the merit of the undergraduate results.

MA: Hindi and English MA Programs, 20 each, are offered by the college. Candidates must have graduated with a relevant three-year bachelor's degree. They are selected based on the merit of the undergraduate results.
