Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
B.Tech Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all engineering disciplines. The civil engineering program is designed to develop the creative and knowledgeable engineering with strong capability of innovation and management. This branch deals with construction, designing and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including the works like roads, bridges, dams, canals and buildings.Civil engineering is the oldest and largest discipline which is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geophysics, geotechnical, geodesy, control engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, atmospheric sciences, earth science, urban engineering, water sources engineering, surveying, construction engineering, quantity surveying and coastal engineering etc.Civil engineering takes place on all levels in public and private sector from individual owners through to the international organizations.
The candidate must have a valid JEE Main scorecard for Admission.
The candidate must have passed the intermediate examination or equivalent (10+2) from any recognized board/university with a minimum of 60% marks in PCM.
