The Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: The Bachelor of Pharmacy degree offered at JKITE is a four-year undergraduate course imparting extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences. The institute offers 45 seats in this program. Admissions to B.Pharma may be based either on the performance of the candidates in pertinent entrance examinations or on their merit ratings in the 10+2 qualification in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.
D.Pharma: The Diploma in Pharmacy program lasts two years and stresses practical pharmacy operations. JKITE offers 48 seats in this program. Candidates can be admitted into the D.Pharma program based on their performance in the 10+2 examination with a particular reference on science subjects like Biology and Chemistry.
In either cases, a candidate may be required to take an institute counseling session organized either by the institute or corresponding state authorities. The final selection is usually based on the candidates' own academic records, the admission examination results (if applicable), and seat availability.
