      For LLM programme:

      • Application will be direct through University of Calcutta's website for the LLM admission test.

      Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College, Kolkata BA LLB Integrated Admission Process

      The admission to the 5-year integrated BA LLB Integrated programme is on the basis of the Calcutta University Law Entrance Test (CULET). Any candidate who has passed his or her Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination is eligible to apply. Admission will be made purely on the score obtained by the candidate in the CULET. The programme is available at the college with a sanctioned intake and provides a holistic foundation in both study areas, arts, and law.

      Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College, Kolkata BA LLB Hons Admission Process

      The admission procedure for the BA LLB (Honours) course is somewhat different. Admission into the Honours course is in the 6th semester. The merit list for this programme is made on the basis of two criteria; marks obtained in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) and the cumulative performance during 1st to 5th semester BA LLB examinations. For this special honors programme, the intake is approved for 30 seats.

      Our college fosters academic excellence and has an atmosphere that promotes mentally stimulating and thought -provoking intellectual conversations.Our college has a brilliant and vast alumni network located both in Kolkata as well as other parts of the country,which, helps the graduates to avail more opportunities in various fields of law such as litigation, corporate world,etc.

      College Infra

      College infrastructure can be best described as "average" at the moment , definitely not at par with the spacious classrooms and lush green campus of the other universities of Kolkata as well as India ,such as, Amity University,NUJS Kolkata, Bhawanipur Society College,etc.The building of Jogesh Chandra College has an old "Calcutta charm" and often conjures up nostalgic memories of the Victorian era "Calcutta".

      Campus Life

      Campus life over here is vibrant and incredibly fun.The seniors are extremely helpful to the freshers when it comes to academic or any other kind of issues.The Students' Union organises various fests, cultural events , competitions(moot courts,debates,etc.)where the students can showcase their talents in extra-curricular activities.

      Placements

      The placement scenario can be best described as "average" at our college,but,it is gradually getting better with more of our alumnis rising to prominence in the corporate world.Many of our alumnis are notable Judges,Magistrates,Advocates ,etc.

      Value For Money

      It is great at our colege. The class size is small and the faculty is highly experienced and knowledgeable .They provide personalised care,attention and help to every student.They take special interest in ensuring that the students are getting exposure to the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at par with the best colleges of the city.
