The admission procedure for the BA LLB (Honours) course is somewhat different. Admission into the Honours course is in the 6th semester. The merit list for this programme is made on the basis of two criteria; marks obtained in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) and the cumulative performance during 1st to 5th semester BA LLB examinations. For this special honors programme, the intake is approved for 30 seats.
The admission to the 2-year full-time LLM course at Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College is through a test conducted directly by the University of Calcutta. This postgraduate degree courses students who have completed their LLB programme and want to study further in specific areas of law.
