Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) graduate degree awarded after the study of five and a half years duration, including 1-year internship (One Year Internship in the same Ayurved Hospital), the course offered by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur and approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).

Detail of Duration of Course:- The courses of studies to the BAMS shall be three academic years and one year internship.

  • 1st Professional - Eighteen Months
  • 2nd Professional - Eighteen Months
  • 3rd Professional - Eighteen Months
  • Compulsory Internship - One Year

Degree to be Awarded:- The candidate shall be awarded Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) degree after passing the final examination, after completion of prescribed course of study extending over; prescribed period and thereafter satisfactorily completing the compulsory rotator internship extending over twelve months, by the university.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates are required to pass Class 12th or equivalent examination with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English core in both Class 11 and 12 from a recognized state/central board.
  • He/she should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or as on 31st December of the respective year. Not more than of 25 years on or before the 31st December of the respective year of admission in the first year of the course.
  • An aspirant from the general category needs to secure an aggregate of 50% in their Class 12th Board examination. While, for SC/ST/OBC candidates, the qualifying percentage is 40%.
  • Candidates need to have qualified NEET by securing the minimum qualifying cutoff percentile to get admission in the BAMS course.
  • For foreign students, any other equivalent qualification approved by the University will be allowed.

Admission Details

Candidates need to have qualified NEET by securing the minimum qualifying cutoff percentile to get admission in the BAMS course. Admission to BAMS courses will be taken on the basis of the NEET-UG score and the corresponding rank. Therefore, candidates are required to qualify for NEET conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). In order to take admitted to the BAMS course, candidates are required to secure the NEET cutoff percentile.
