60 MonthsBachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course is a five-year full-time course, which includes 4 years of curriculum plus 1 year of rotating internship, offered by Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and approved by the National Dental Commission (NDC).
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) or equivalent from a recognized board. They should have studied the following core subjects: Physics/Chemistry/Biology / Biotechnology/English (as a compulsory subject)
- Minimum Qualifying Marks in 10+2
- Candidates must secure the following minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB):
- General Category – Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB; SC / ST / OBC (as per government norms) – Minimum 40% aggregate in PCB; PwD (General Category) – Minimum 45% aggregate in PCB. Marks requirement may vary as per regulatory authority guidelines.
- The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. There is generally no upper age limit as per current norms (subject to prevailing regulations).
Admission Details
Admission to the BDS course is based on qualification in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency. Candidates must qualify NEET-UG in the relevant academic year. Admission is granted through centralized counseling conducted by the respective authorities (All India / State level).
