Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree awarded by a university or institute recognized by the Dental Council of India. The degree must be duly registered with the State Dental Council or the Dental Council of India.
- Candidates who have obtained their BDS qualification from a foreign institution must ensure that their degree is recognized by the Dental Council of India and the Government of India.
- The minimum qualifying percentile in NEET-MDS shall be as prescribed by the competent authority for the respective academic year (typically 50th percentile for General category and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC categories, subject to revision by the Government of India).
- Medical Fitness: The candidate must be medically fit and produce a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at the time of admission.
Admission Details
Admission to the MDS programme is based on qualification in the NEET-MDS (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – MDS) conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentile as prescribed for their respective category.
