Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

For Co-curricular activities, The College has an air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 650 where cultural programs are held. The foyer of the auditorium is available throughout the year for practice for various programs. The music system is available for cultural programs for the students.

The College has a canteen facility on the ground floor with a seating capacity for about 100 students. Various eatables and beverages are served to the students and staff members in this canteen. Take care of hygiene and maintain quality food. 

The College has A State-of-the-art Computer Center that has been provided with Computers powered with i3 and i5 processors. The entire arrangement is oriented with  1 HP  server & Structured networking system with 12 MBPS Hathway Leased line and a broadband connection of 4 MBPS from MTNL. The Computer Centre provides excellent internet surfing & downloading facility. Students are provided with State-of-the-art Wi-fi technology; enabling wireless access on their laptops. The 4th-floor computer lab has 27 computers and the 5th-floor computer lab has 42 computers.

The College gymkhana activity started in the month of July 2010 under the able guidance of Prof. V. Pandit and Prof. N.S. Sankpal.

The College  Sr. College Chess team participated in the Inter-Collegiate Chess Tournament organized by Mumbai University From our Chess team, 1 player was selected for Inter-University Ronak Dharod – SYBMM 910208

The College Library is situated on the second floor with a spacious reading hall. Computers with internet facilities are made available to the students and teachers. The library catalog is made available to the students through the intranet. Students are now given direct access to the bookshelves. Handicapped students are given special attention and assistance in the selection of books and periodicals. Library service is automated. Our library has over 41700 books and a collection of over 66 Periodicals. A number of Ph.D. Thesis, M.Phil. Dissertation, Project Reports submitted by faculty and students are made available for reference. Over 710 CDs / DVDs on various topics/subjects are available in its rich collection.

The college has a Health Center Located on the third floor with a visiting doctor, Dr. Komal Jatania, MBBS, DCH.
