BA Bengali Hons at Nakshalbari College, Darjeeling Offline Course

A student may be admitted to B.A. (Honours)  three years Degree Course after passing the Higher Secondary examination in the general stream conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in a 10+2 pattern after a period of 12-year study or an examination conducted by the Indian School Certificate (ISC) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other board recognized as equivalent by the University provided that she/he has passed in at least four subjects with English as a compulsory subject excluding Environmental Studies(EVS).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR HONOURS

FOR UNRESERVED CANDIDATES - 55% in aggregate (best of 4 including English excluding Environmental Studies) or, if the candidate has secured less than 55% but not less than 50% in aggregate she/he should at least have secured 60% in the concerned subject.

FOR SC, ST & P.H. CANDIDATES - 50% in aggregate (best of 4 including English excluding Environmental Studies) or, if the candidate has secured less than 50% but not less than 45% in aggregate she/he should at least have secured 60% in the concerned subject.
