The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi was established in 1986 in collaboration with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. The institution has played an important role in shaping India's fashion and design landscape. The architectural design of the campus is a testament to sustainable practices, featuring a central stepwell concept to conserve rainwater. Dr. B.V. Doshi, a renowned architect, crafted the campus design, which is now celebrated as one of Delhi's modern iconic architectural landmarks.
NIFT Delhi offers a diverse range of undergraduate programs, including B.Des (Fashion Communication, Textile Design, Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Knitwear Design and Leather Design) and B.F.Tech in Apparel Production. NIFT is a reputed institution when it comes to Design and Fashion Management and Tech. I have almost completed my first year, and here is what I think. The campus is pretty small, but has all the facilities. A huge Library, well equipped labs, stationery, etc., Campus has its wifi and every class has its own projectors and desktop systems. Overall a NIFTy package of everything required.
